A CPT code used for the first hour of an intravenous infusion of chemotherapy or another highly complex drug or biologic.
Applies to chemotherapy and to other highly complex biologic agents such as monoclonal antibodies, not only to cytotoxic drugs. The complexity of the drug, not the diagnosis, determines whether the chemotherapy series or the 96365 series applies.
